who we are



Bellevue Iowa Youth Soccer, Inc. (BIYS) is a non-profit corporation in the State of Iowa dedicated to providing a positive educational atmosphere for our youth athletes. We emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship, and self-confidence in our participants, as well as the technical and tactical skills needed to be a successful soccer player. We operate two recreational youth soccer leagues. Our spring league is for fifth through eighth grades, and our fall league is for Kindergarten through sixth grades. All registered participants are assigned to a team. There are no tryouts in BIYS.



spring soccer league



The spring league (grades 5-8) starts in March with games continuing into April. Teams play a round-robin schedule with gender specific teams. The rosters are sometimes shuffled midway through the season to restore competitive balance. The focus of the program is less on team wins and losses and more on preparing the youth athletes to compete in high school soccer. Registrations for 2025 will open on February 7, 2025.



fall soccer league



The fall league (grades K-6) starts practices in mid-August with games from late August through mid-October. K-6 athletes play on co-ed teams and are separated into three age divisions: Kindergarten-1st grade, 2nd-3rd grades, and 4th-6th grades. Teams play a round-robin schedule with a tournament at the end of the season. Registration for 2025 will open in mid-May.
